Peel Police Free Workshop Series for Parents

 

Parent - Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place Thursday, March 26th, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A hard copy of the attached letter will be sent home to parents on Monday, March 23, 2015.

 

Student Progress Reports

Progress Reports will go home with all grade 9 students March 9th-11th.

 Immunization - 2nd Clinic - Tues. May 5th, 2015

In Ontario, all students are now required to be immunized against meningococcal disease. Students 12 years of age and older must have the meningococcal ACYW-135 vaccine or valid exemption.

 Most students would have had the vaccine in grade 7/8. Students who have not had the vaccine have received a notice in the mail from Peel Public Health. Registered Nurses from Peel Public Health will be coming to our school to offer the Meningococcal vaccine to students who require it.

Students 14 years and older can sign their own consent form. The date of the clinic is May 5, 2015 This is the second clinic for Xavier for the 2014/15 school year. There will not be another one.

Solidarity Calendar Sow Much Love to Give

Use the online calendar to support  the poor in third world countries. Collect change during Lent and stand in solidarity with those in need around the world. "Sow much love to give" All classes are encouraged to participate. Use the calendar as a guide for collecting change at home and bring the money in at the end of Lent. All money will be sent to Development and Peace.

Bullying - Online Reporting Tool

Online Reporting Tool to promote a positive school community, this Reporting Tool has been created so students who become aware of bullying incidents and other negative behaviours that impact the school environment can report them.

When you fill out this form, you are not required to provide your name or any other information that identifies you. If the information is provided anonymously, it may be dealt with in a general way, as there may be no means to respond specifically if limited information is provided. Depending on the type of information you provide, you may be identifiable.

In some cases, if you are identifiable based on the information provided, the school principal/vice-principal may approach you to provide more information on a confidential basis. If you choose to identify yourself in the reporting process, the principal and/or vice-principal may follow up directly with you.

Accident Insurance Coverage

The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board does not provide accident insurance coverage for student injuries that occur on school premises or during school activities. You may purchase coverage for your child at www.insuremykids.com or by calling toll free at 1-800-463-KIDS (5437).

Uniforms

All our students are expected to be in full and proper uniform every day at school. This includes being in the halls, library, and cafeteria. Students who do not comply with the school uniform policy will receive appropriate consequences.
Please note: the last day that students can wear the optional "summer uniform" is Friday, October 11th. All students must be in their rugby shirt after Thanksgiving.
GYM UNIFORMS CAN ONLY BE PURCHASED THROUGH MC CARTHY. THEY CAN NO LONGER BE PURCHASED FROM THE SCHOOL.
