In Ontario, all students are now required to be immunized against meningococcal disease. Students 12 years of age and older must have the meningococcal ACYW-135 vaccine or valid exemption.

Most students would have had the vaccine in grade 7/8. Students who have not had the vaccine have received a notice in the mail from Peel Public Health. Registered Nurses from Peel Public Health will be coming to our school to offer the Meningococcal vaccine to students who require it.

Students 14 years and older can sign their own consent form. The date of the clinic is May 5, 2015 This is the second clinic for Xavier for the 2014/15 school year. There will not be another one.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact Peel Public Health at 905-799-7700.
