Celebrating Black History Month:
Thanks to our active Black History Month Committee of Staff & Students at Ascension, we have many events planned to celebrate this month.

Celebrating Black History in Canada
Grade 10 Literacy Test Classes:
All students registered in Grade 10 will write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test on March 30th. This is a graduation requirement.
To support students with tips and strategies for this very important test, After School Literacy Classes will began on Monday, February 13th after school.

Student Created Video:
Ascension's GLE/GLS Program focuses on the development of learning and life strategies for student success. This past semester, students in Grade 11 created an outstanding video to describe and celebrate their learning and successes.

Course Selection for Sept. 2017:
Our Guidance Team will begin visits to Period 2 classes this Monday, February 6, to assist with student course selection for the upcoming school year.
Parents and Guardians are encouraged to login to the student's https://www.myblueprint.ca/ account with their son or daughter to review course selection and other program planning tools.

Youth Group at OLA:

Students in grades 9 to 12 who are interested in joining the Youth Group email OLAyouthministry@hotmail.com for more information.
Registration for September 2017:
Our Registration Packages, for the 2017/2018 school year, are now available in the Ascension of Our Lord S.S. Guidance Office.
All are welcome, including students from both Catholic and Public Elementary, Middle and Secondary schools.
